Two more bronze statues of our nation’s presidents were unveiled Saturday, leaving only two more to complete the roster.

After a decade of work and more than $2 million in private donations, 41 bronze statues of the presidents now grace Rapid City.

A statue of Bill Clinton will arrive soon, completing the roster of past presidents. And a sponsor has been lined up for future placement of a statue of Barack Obama. Obama is the 44th president, but Grover Cleveland served twice, so there will be 43 statues in all.

The ambitious project has become a major draw in downtown Rapid City.
