Port Neches-Grove High School, also commonly called PNG, located in Port Neches Texas, is coming together like never before. From every graduating class to come from PNG, encouragement, donations, and much excitement has been rallied up for a bronze statue to be placed near the school. The statue will feature a beautiful and strong Indian with his hands up toward the heavens, spear in one hand. A shield will be place on the hip of the horse that the Indian will be sitting on that will read, “The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart exults, And with my song I shall thank Him”. The Psalms scripture is also on the shield the school mascot carries and holds great meaning to the school.

Matt Glenn, lead sculptor at Big Statues, has been working closely with Bill Sealey, a PNG graduate, to make sure each detail of the statue is how Sealey and other PNG grads envision it to be. Characteristics of the horse and Indian are specific to what the school instills in their students and the team at Big Statues is committed to bring those characteristics to life in beautiful bronze. A Facebook Page has been set up to give updates on the project and how to donate; the page is titled PNG MEMORIAL STATUE. Big Statues feels honored to be apart of such a wonderful project for an outstanding school.
