Dignity Health is a not-for-profit corporation that was founded in 1986 with the overall goal of benefitting the health community. Dignity Health operates hospitals and other health care facilities in twenty-one states. It is the fifth largest health system in the United States and is currently the largest hospital provider in the state of California.In order to add influence and even more inspiration to one of their campuses, Dignity Health inquired of sculptor Matt Glenn of Big Statues to create a statue of Saint Rose de Lima for their Rose de Lima campus located in Henderson, Nevada. This statue of Saint Rose de Lima is now installed on the hospital’s campus and is already affecting the community for the better.Sister Phyllis Sikora, the Service Area Vice President, had some things to say about this influential masterpiece. She stated, “She is beautiful and adds to our campus. The landscaping is in and just adds to her beauty. With the lighting, she has become a beacon in the night. Thanks [to Big Statues] for helping to make our dream come true.”Matt Glenn, the sculptor of this statue, said that, “Working with Sr. Phyllis and her team was truly an honor. They are a first class organization and I am happy that this statue will stand as a representation of hope and goodwill for generations to come.” The statue, standing at 8 feet tall, can be visited on Dignity Health’s Rose de Lima Campus.
